dead-end

An introductory image that'll vary based on the selected style.

Welcome to dead-end V2. I'm currently in the process of setting everything up, but once that's done, this site will be a place where I put stuff.

This site is created in Visual Studio Code and tested in Mozilla Firefox on 1920x1080 and 2560x1440 displays. It is somewhat mobile-friendly and not accessibility-friendly.

To-do: Hook up site to Hugo. Add style switching, [?], favicons, about page, outgoing page, lists landing page, button, cursor particles, custom cursor. Add blinkies. Join webrings. Put up old pages someday.

Perpetual to-do: Refine mobile layout.

update log

14 september 25. Noticed a problem with my header and proceeded to spend too long fixing it and its ensuing issues. There might be some minor tweaking I could do to improve the site, but for now I'll focus on Hugo so I can get to stylesheets.

11 september 25. Struggling with Hugo. Currently the basic layout is copied over but I need to figure out how to display pages and make sure it stays consistent between pages.

05 september 25. Added some classes and am now trying to hook up the site to Hugo.

29 august 25. Cleaned up file tree & started looking into styleswitching-related things. I need to draw graphics for the site... (wince). Proceeded to battle images for a bit.

28 august 25. Found new fonts but didn't like them, added absolute/relative styling but didn't like that either. Started mobile media query and got my ass beat by a singular hashtag for an hour. It's functional now though.

27 august 25. Styled links & scrollboxes, added image classes, added imood, tweaked container widths. Struggled with styling the form for a while before I remembered to use my brain. I think this site used to have a target aesthetic but I'm slowly losing control of it as I add more things. The bold styling isn't helping, but I like it even if it makes my site look like a Geronimo Stilton book.

24 august 25. Set up basic HTML layout and got it up and working. It's really giving Tumblr theme but I can't be bothered to think about that right now.

Most of this site's CSS was cannibalized from my last website. Thanks to past me for doing all the hard work.

Test image for me to check my stylesheet.

I recognize that the red theme right now can be pretty unreadable for some people, so I'm prioritizing making a readable style that'll be the new site default. This style will be an optional selectable style. Just need to see when I get around to the styleswitcher...

Also, the red character featured is Win Variation, a.k.a. Shion, from Umamusume: Pretty Derby. Credit to Cygames for the character and graphics. I enjoy her.
